New Delhi: UPSC Chairman Ajay Kumar has reiterated that there is no tolerance for malpractice in UPSC examinations. Candidates found indulging in fraudulent practices will be barred from taking the examination for three years, and legal action will be initiated against them.
He cited the ongoing case of Pooja Kethkar, a former trainee IAS officer, against whom legal proceedings have been initiated for malpractice involving certificates related to differently-abled and OBC categories.
To strengthen the verification process and curb certificate fraud, the UPSC plans to conduct certificate verification through DigiLocker in the coming days. This move is expected to make the process more transparent, secure, and efficient.
Ajay Kumar emphasized that these measures are part of UPSC's continuous efforts to maintain integrity and fairness in the examination system.
