Chennai: The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu, on Friday announced the results of the SSLC (Class 10) board examinations for the academic year 2024-25, with Sivagangai district emerging as the top performer with a pass percentage of 98.31%.

According to official data, Virudhunagar, Tuticorin, Kanyakumari, and Trichy followed in the second to fifth positions respectively, with Trichy recording a pass percentage of 96.61%. On the other hand, Vellore registered the lowest performance among the districts with a pass rate of 85.44%.

This year, a total of 8,71,239 students appeared for the SSLC examinations held from March 28 to April 15. Among them, 4,35,119 were girls and 4,36,120 were boys.

The overall pass percentage across the state stood at 93.80%, reflecting a notable improvement over last year's 91.55%, officials said.
