New Delhi: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) on Tuesday declared the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Candidates who appeared for the national-level entrance examination can download their scorecards from the official website of the consortium using their registered credentials. The results were announced after the release of the final answer keys earlier this month.

According to official data, nearly 92,000 candidates had registered for CLAT 2026. Of them, 75,009 candidates appeared for the undergraduate examination, while 17,335 took the postgraduate test. The overall male-to-female ratio among examinees stood at around 0.72:1.

The consortium said the counselling process for admissions to participating NLUs and other institutions will begin soon. Qualified candidates will be required to register separately for counselling, which will be conducted in five rounds. Seat allotments will be made based on merit rank, preferences exercised by candidates and availability of seats.

CLAT 2026 was conducted on December 7 at 156 examination centres across 93 cities in 25 states and four Union Territories. The provisional answer key and question papers were released on December 10, and candidates were allowed to raise objections till December 12.

Both CLAT UG and CLAT PG papers comprised 120 multiple-choice questions, carrying one mark each. Candidates have been advised to regularly check the official website for updates on counselling schedules and further admission procedures.
