Udumalai: Education Minister Anbil Mahesh encouraged school students to recognize the value of securing admission to a good college, emphasizing that it can pave the way for a better future. He stressed the importance of responsible study habits.

During the launch of the Tamil Pudhalvan project in Coimbatore, Minister Mahesh conducted an unannounced inspection of Government Higher Secondary Schools in Madathikulam and Kudimangalam, located in Tirupur District.

He reviewed student enrollment, pass rates, and the availability of basic facilities. Additionally, he urged teachers to promote sports among students.

Speaking to the 12th-grade students at Madathikulam Government School, the minister advised:

“Students preparing for public exams, it's time to put aside any distractions. You have just one year left—use it wisely. With seven months remaining until the final exams, it's crucial to be responsible and plan your studies daily. Neglecting this could result in lifelong regret.

Finishing school and entering a good college will significantly change your life. You won't have to struggle to find work; jobs will come to you through campus interviews.

The upcoming higher state board exam is crucial. Today is particularly special for government school students, as the Tamil Putulavan project has launched. Under this initiative, students from government schools will receive ₹1,000 per month once they enter college.

If the government is investing ₹12,000 a year in your education, you must take on the responsibility to excel in the 12th-grade exams and secure college admission.

Tamil Nadu leads the country in the number of students who complete school and proceed to college. Our goal is to achieve a 100% transition rate within the next 10 years.

Choose your field wisely, decide on the college you wish to attend, and prepare thoroughly for the public exams. With systematic study, you can score well and achieve your goals.”
