Everyone should remember that we are born to succeed. Unfortunately, we often read in newspapers about students who are overwhelmed by small setbacks like exam failures or low marks, fall into negative thoughts and take drastic decisions.
While doctors tirelessly work to extend life, there are young people who, lacking self-confidence, seek to end theirs prematurely.
Life is challenging, but as world-renowned physicist Stephen Hawking said, there is always a path to success.
Stephen Hawking is an inspiring example of triumph over adversity. At 21, while in college, he struggled with simple tasks like tying his shoelaces. This led him to see a doctor, who diagnosed him with a severe neuromuscular disease that progressively weakens muscles. The doctor grimly predicted he might live only for two years.
Unfazed, Hawking asked if the disease would affect his brain. When the doctor said it would not, Hawking responded confidently that his body might be affected, but his mind would continue his physics research.
He went on to write groundbreaking books on modern science, which were widely acclaimed. Despite eventually becoming wheelchair-bound and losing the use of all muscles below his neck, he communicated through a computer using just two fingers. His unyielding willpower allowed him to defy medical predictions and live many more years, contributing immensely to science.
Hawking's story teaches us that setbacks, even severe ones, are not the end. His life shows us the power of resilience and determination. Instead of fearing minor illnesses or injuries, we should draw inspiration from his example.
Students should learn from Stephen Hawking that life is about living fully, fighting against odds, and striving for success. What we often perceive as flaws are not flaws at all; the real flaw is expecting results without putting in the effort. Don't let others' opinions deter you from pursuing your passions. Live your life for yourself and help others along the way. This world is made for you.
Embrace your strengths, acknowledge any physical limitations, and always remain cheerful and determined. Success is within reach.
